Since this is my blog, I get to express my opinion without the boundaries placed on me by society, my son and son-in-law and the rest of the "tolerant of all others except Christians". Not that this particular blog will have anything to do with my being a bonafide believer in the finished work of Jesus the Christ. It doesn't but again, it does. That is for another day.
It has everything to do with what is a very wrong, evil and scary position of Lobbyist in the corrupt political scene called the Senate and Congress of the United States. You know, if I were to attempt to bribe a policeman, sheriff, politician or anyone else, I would probably go to jail. But...if you are a "registered" lobbyist, you can bribe just about anyone that suits your specific project, goal, directive or interest and it's okay. In fact, it is not only okay, it is encouraged! Get that! Encouraged by corporations, lawyers, special interest groups, politicians, manufacturers, practically anyone that needs something from a politician that holds a public office.
I can see where we are headed, why can't everyone else? How can it be that so many people have turned their blinded eyes away from the truth of this ugliness and have continued to let lobbyists have their way? I don't understand it. But, then again, on the other side of the coin, I really understand it, all too well. I also understand all too well that no one can turn back the effects of a perverted evil that has been allowed to flourish, much less exist, within the elected bodies of both the Senate and Congress. Some would be so blinded as to say that they, the Lobbyists, are needed to give direction and guidance to senators and congressmen because they simply can't know everything that is going on in the US. How wrong could any one person be? Well, believe me, the lobbyists are out there that say that.
I'm just so angry that politicians are, in general, selfish, self-serving, money-grubbing, power-hungry varmits, clothed in the self-righteousness of the elected public servant. What a joke! I can't name one single politician or lobbyist who, that if they were to lose their job today would mourn that they could no longer serve the public that elected them or the special interest group that gave them their job. They make me sick to my stomach. Sick, sick, sick. And yet, come November, I will have to do my civic duty to go to the polls to do my part to try to get the lesser of all evils elected. What a joke!
